America's Idols And Monuments 

    Thank you for your interest in our website and our campaign to remove funding for these obscenities.
   We find these deeply offensive and are only showing them to raise awareness that such things even exist.
   Below our petition is an interactive map with locations of the Idols and below the map is a description of each one.

Vulcan god of iron

   The Vulcan statue is the largest cast iron statue in the world and  rests on top of a granite pedestal in Birmingham, Alabama. 
   The 56-foot  tall statue depicts the Roman god Vulcan, god of the fire and forge, with iron working equipment. It's creation was Birmingham's entry for the Louisiana Purchase Exposition (1904 World's Fair) in St. Louis, Missouri.

#3 Tennessee
Parthenon
with Athena covered in Gold

   The Parthenon in Nashville, Tennessee, is a full-scale replica of the original Parthenon in Athens. Made by architect William Crawford Smith and built in 1897 as part of the Tennessee Centennial Exposition.
   And what temple would be complete without a goddess. Inside is a 40 foot tall Athena covered in gold. Her shield and snakes are also gold.

#5 Sioux Falls South Dakota Statue Of David

   A  full sized reproduction of the statue of "David" by Michelangelo and is one of only two castings ever made rests in Fawick Park in downtown Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Cast from the famous sculpture completed by Michelangelo in 1504. The original is located in the Accademia Museum in Florence, Italy and is considered to be one of the finest sculptures in the world.


#6  Umi in Hogan Park at Highlands Creek, Colorado 

   Umi  was inspired by the concept of "Gaia," the primordial mother and ancestral goddess who shaped and nurtured all life.


#7 Garden of 1000 buddhas. Arlee, Montana 

   The 10 acres is arranged in the formation of a “wheel of dharma” meant to represent the “Noble Eight fold Path” which encompasses the eternal cycle of life, death, and rebirth.


#8 World's Largest Kokopelli. Camp Verde, Arizona

   A 32-foot-tall sign of the Navajo Indian God of Wealth and Fertility


#9 The sexting statue. Bucyrus, Kansas

   A statue of a disjointed, golden nude woman, with no head, snapping a selfie with a camera.


#10 Vulcan and Venus. Ashland, Kentucky

Designed and sculpted by world renowned artist Ginés Serrán-Pagán and gifted to the city by a generous benefactor.


#11 FM6 WALKING JACKMAN. Clayton, Missouri

   Faceless, armless, nude figures that represented the bureaucratic and technological "everymen" bestriding a soulless universe.

   Largest bronze sculpture of classical mythology in the world!
